There are some wedding days where the emotion is so palpable, you can feel it in the air. Geneva and Ian’s late spring wedding in Greenville was one of those days. Even a bit of drizzle couldn't dampen a celebration that was deeply personal, overwhelmingly joyful, and a true testament to their love. The day was rooted in what mattered most to them: their faith, their family, and their future together.
The ceremony was held at the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, a place made even more special because it’s their home church and Ian’s father was the one to officiate the wedding. I had the privilege of capturing their first look earlier at Timmons Park, but nothing could prepare anyone for the moment Geneva walked down the aisle. All eyes were on Ian as tears of pure joy streamed down his face. It’s moments like these—so full of raw, unfiltered love—that I live to capture.
After the ceremony, we had the opportunity to take some portraits outside. However, it rained, and we had to move their portrait session indoors, but it was clear that the weather didn’t matter one bit. Geneva and Ian were simply radiating happiness, and their joy was infectious. They were finally married, and that was all that mattered.
The celebration continued at The Palmetto Room in Laurens, a beautiful historic venue with incredible character. It was very obvious that Ian and Geneva really enjoyed their time with their families and friends!
Of course, their send-off was nothing short of amazing, the perfect ending to a beautiful day.
